Loreen Matsushima

In conjunction with my collagraph prints and the sculpture installations, in 2018 I created a variation on the theme expanded onto canvas. The paintings are large and I intend to increase the scale to create a more grandiose panoramic view of landscapes of deforestation. While the landscape shaped by our actions looks bleak and depauperated, nature continues to evolve and the perpetual sky and clouds are elements that I see as the constant and essential part of our planet.
